Before becoming a full-time investor, he founded, built, and successfully exited two technology companies, while also leading a $100M national security technology division.
Over the course of his career, Richard has helped scale organizations from six figures to more than $100M+ in revenue, combining operational leadership with long-term strategic thinking. His work draws from decades of experience building businesses, investing in founders, and navigating the challenges of sustained growth.
Richard is the host of The Amplified CEO podcast, where he explores leadership, entrepreneurship, and venture capital with founders and executives. He holds a doctorate from Purdue University, is a frequent guest lecturer on entrepreneurship, and has led organizations recognized among the fastest-growing companies in the Washington, DC area, including earning the Washington Business Journal's #1 Best Place to Work (Midsize) distinction.
